DM Contemporary was founded in 2003 by Doris Mukabaa Marksohn in Mill Neck, NY, as a contemporary salon dedicated to exhibiting significant new work by emerging and mid-career artists.
In 2010 DM Contemporary opened its Manhattan gallery located on 29th Street, in the Flatiron district, establishing an additional exhibition space allowing the gallery to expand its public programs.
